Mr. Swackhammer is the main antagonist of the 1996 Warner Bros. hybrid film Space Jam.
He is an evil alien proprietor of the amusement park Moron Mountain. He is voiced by Danny DeVito.
History[]
He realizes that no one is returning to Moron Mountain and his business is failing. So, he decided to send the Nerdlucks to capture the Looney Tunes to perform their comedic acts in his amusement park, hoping that it could bring back customers as his newest attractions and save his business from foreclosure.
This results in a basketball game and Swackhammer later comes to earth to watch the Nerdlucks now Monstars and the Looney Tunes play basketball as the Monstars coach.
Michael Jordan makes a deal with him that if the Monstars win, Swackhammer would spare the Looney Tunes in exchange for his own freedom as his newest attraction in Moron Mountain. He readily accepts it, thinking of the possibilites of Jordan as his newest attraction, playing basketball with his customers while chained up meaning he would always lose no matter what he did.
However, the Monstars lost to the Looney Tunes resulting in Mr. Swackhammer being furious because of the loss. He decides to break the deal trying to take the Looney Tunes and Jordan with him anyway and mistreat the Monstars, prompting Michael to ask why they let him treat them that way. Bupkus explains it's because of Swackhammer being bigger than them, until they realize that now they are bigger than him. They turn on Mr. Swackhammer and strap him to a rocket, sending him straight to the moon. Due to being Swackhammer being stranded on the moon, Moron Mountain was presumably shut down as he has failed in finding out new attractions. What happened to Mr. Swashmacker remains unknown; he could have remained in the moon until he starved to death since he had no ways to come back to Moron Mountain or he could have been saved by some passing alien.
